MLS Central Coast Showcase

Still looking for a Valentine’s Day Weekend Getaway?  Look no further.  The Quakes open up their pre-season with two games against MLS opponents.  Tonight, Friday the 13th, the Quakes take on Fredy “Krueger” Montero and the Sounders while Sunday afternoon the Quakes will take on FC Special K & Friends at noon.  Both games will be played on campus at Cal Poly at Spanos Stadium.

John Doyle has said that Cam Weaver and Pablo Campos will both be in SLO this weekend, while Convey will not be.  Jason Hernandez is also expected not to play.

Expect pictures, videos, and other sorts of propaganda to arrive some time next week.

Until then, start packing now and at least get down there Sunday to watch the Quakes take on 1836 Houston.  I hear there’s rain and sub-80 degree weather horizon, so expect Brian Ching to pitch a fit.  As if he needs something else to complain about.

Bobbito has officially taken over this blog.  At least for the rest of this week.  Quite a few nuggets in YouTubia that are Convey-related.  Here are my favorites:

If Convey is Fred Flinstone, who is his Barney Rubble? I’ll go with Salinas.

Always room for Championship Manager clips.

I swear, I’ll start posting about other stuff eventually.

Ives reporting that Convey has left Reading Rainbow by mutual consent.  I wonder which association football team he is interested in plying his trade at?

I’ll give you one hint.

The boy wonder.  Legend.  Freedom Fighter.  What mortal man could score his only international goal against our country’s biggest enemy?
